Video footage of a sharp corner reverse on a driving lesson
*
Sharp corner - Make sure there are no other road users
around before you start this exercise
*
The point of turn is reached when you can see the corner
appearing in the left rear window. This is when you should
start steering a full lock to the left. - Remember to
check round again as the nose of the car swings out sharply
on this type of corner. At the apex of the corner, pause
again and check for traffic and pedestrians. Look round
!
*
Use a marker on the rear window to judge when to straighten
the wheels. A fixed marker could be the position of the
rear wiper on a hatchback, or a sticker on the bottom
of the rear window. When the kerb lines up with this marker,
straighten the wheels (this may be one and a half or two
turns of the steering wheel) and continue to run parallel
to the kerb looking directly behind you until instructed
to stop..
